Having experimented by adding natural dyes: onion skins, crushed berries, without success, I then experimented with colours from my studio, paints and pigments; all failed. I ordered wax dyes and this is a page of colour tests, varying the intensity of the wax dye with the quantity of wax and the type of wax. Soya wax giving a creamy affect, paraffin wax is clearer and allows pure colour.
